Who knew that just walking to the bus in the morning could be such an adventure? Part of the snow started to melt and there was light rain overnight, both of which means one thing in the pre-dawn hours: Ice.
Instead of walking down my sidewalk and driveway, after nearly slipping on the first step out of my house, I walked in the grass, tip-toed across the street and walked through the snow covered grass all the way up the path to the school. By the time I got to the roundabout at the school, the ice had melted enough that I got safely across the street to my bus stop. Outside of my community, everything was fine. It was just getting out of my community that was difficult. Apparently I was more adventurous than others since the gym had a fraction of the people it normally does. Everyone saw glistening surfaces and stayed in.
My determination ill probably do me in yet, but for now all it is doing is keeping me strong and getting me even stronger.
